Getting started on a smart home?

Note that all wifi based smart home products only works with Wifi 2.4ghz only, not suitable for combined router with 5ghz in it.

Infrared remote cannot penetrate wall and has to be in sight of the appliance(s) in order to control it, no blockage in between

It is recommended to have one in each room and one for each aircon

This is not a rechargeable product, ensure smart remote is plugged in to usb plug 24/7.

The differences between RF and IR.

IR (infrared) is mostly for aircon, television, speaker & Wall fan.

RF (Radio Frequency) is mostly used on ceiling fans, curtain, blinds

Do note that RF have many different frequencies within, which some product runs on 432mhz, 433.09mhz OR 433.93mhz (these arent suitable)

Outsmart RF universal remote coverage is 433MHZ+315MHZ

• Download our free app Outsmart® from Google or Apple Store

• Register an account with us

• Grant all Wifi, Bluetooth, location and notification access for seamless connectivity 

• Connect your mobile to ONLY 2.4ghz Wifi, and turn on Bluetooth

• Tap add new device

• Select Others > Universal Remote

• Reset the product by holding down to the reset for 10s

• Ensure product indicator light is blinking rapidly before proceeding to next step

• Follow app instruction - Enter wifi 2.4ghz password & start connecting

• ALL SET!
